Hey, tried to email you, but the only one I have for you is the diaryland one which is so out of date that I'm embarrassed. I/We are going to be converging on MSP on the weekend of Oct 24 for general shenanigans and hope you can hook up with us for dinner if not more? Email me for deets!

No head slapping from me. But really, Rich People? Ick!

Question - Why do Mr. Boo's shoelaces match? Doesn't he want to be a cool kid?

Ah heck, just let the kid watch t.v. until school starts. Once school starts, he'll have no time for t.v. You deserve a break from the beast so let the t.v. babysit him.

I want you to think of this with every naughty thing he does. I have 2 kids, one who, when little, was always quiet and polite and self-initiated with finding toys to play with. The other kid was naughty naughty naughty naughty. full-time naughty. In constant need of attention naughty. Damn kid was even naughty while asleep! Today? The quiet and polite kid is the bane of my existence while the naughty one got all of his naughty out of the way and couldn't be a better teenager. Well, he could be better but I'm thrilled with what I've got! I adore the teenager he is!

Your kid is just getting his naughty out of the way while he's little. Much better than getting his naughty out of the way while he's older and under the influence of peer who do drugs.

Oh and all that stuff that needs to get done? Forget about it. You can do it later. Right now you just need to do nothing. Wallow in the nothing. That stuff you want to get done is just going to have to get done again later. Do it later! Your days of doing nothing are limited. Embrace the nothing!

Ain't I the poster child for motivational speakers?!

I slept in until 10:19 this morning! I definitely need to find something to do because that just ain't right. Thankfully, I have my appointment with the secretarial school today so I can find out if I can wear pantyhose instead of nylons and a garter belt. Lordy, I'm going back in time!

It's supposed to rain this afternoon. I believe it's a good day for staying inside with the urchins and making cookies!

Ally, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine your entries without the Evil-Ratt-Mutt. The kids must be sad. I know I would be. Take care.

I am open to friending any and all former classmates. I mulled that over for a long time, and finally decided that was the cool thing about FB. Of course, I went to small Catholic schools and even if every single person I ever had in my class friended me, it would barely be 100 people so there's that. I know what you mean by the friend of a friend dilemma - where is the line? Does someone qualify to be a FB friend just because you've met once or twice? Or because you know who they are? Eh. Neither my son or daughter accepted my friend request so I guess I"m in your mom's shoes :)

If you asked my mother, she'd say her mother got more needy the older she got, not meaner. Which is true. She wanted more from my mother. But my mother was as mean to her as she is to me.

I'm thankful that I have girlfriends who have really nice mothers. It's what keeps me hoping the same for myself as an old broad!

I ended up working today and my god, I am tired! Those little kids with special needs wear me the heck out!

Had I known it was going to cause you such angst to join FB I'd have warned you against it.

Do not FB friend your mom! As for the rest of them - just ignore them.

I kind of wish there were a couple of blog people I didn't let in and I might just go ahead and block them. And I'm not talking about you and the lap, in case you were worried there for a second.

What I particularly love about FB is that I can spy on my children. They sometimes forget we're FB friends! Silly kids!
